Bradford, set against the backdrop of the South Pennines in West Yorkshire, is a city built on textiles, innovation, and resilience. The Industrial Museum offers a look into the city’s mill-working past, complete with steam engines, textile machinery, and recreated workshops.

As the world’s first UNESCO City of Film, Bradford blends cinema history with modern creativity. The National Science and Media Museum sits in the heart of the city, offering hands-on exhibits about photography, television, gaming, and animation. It’s also home to one of the UK's only IMAX cinemas. Film festivals throughout the year cover everything from horror to South Asian cinema, drawing international visitors and showcasing Bradford’s diverse voice in media and arts.

Just outside the city, the landscape opens into moorland, woodland, and historic villages. Saltaire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site just four miles from the centre, was built in the 1850s by industrialist Titus Salt for his mill workers. Today, visitors can stroll its well-preserved streets, browse galleries inside the massive Salts Mill, and enjoy coffee with views of the River Aire. Ilkley Moor, Brontë Country in nearby Haworth, and the rolling hills of Wharfedale are all within easy reach for those interested in walking, literature, or views that stretch for miles.
